CA-53W B Button Mod
Lenghtening of the CA-53W’s “adjust” button 2025-04-21
The CA-53W’s B button is difficult to depress—and if you set alarms often, this gets annoying. It turns out you can take out the B and C buttons by unfastening the watch’s backplate, prying out the module using a flathead screwdriver, and popping off the buttons’ C-clips using tweezers. I have an old beat-up CA-53W with a missing wristband, so I stole its C button (which is longer) and popped it into my daily-driver CA-53W’s B button slot, making sure to lose one of the four C-clips in the process.
The lengthened B button is much easier to depress, and I haven’t experienced any accidental presses so far.
